Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) is India’s richest municipal organization with its annual budget more than some small Indian states. The MCGM is the largest civic organization in the country (and one of the largest in Asia) spread over an area of 437 km² with a population of 12.4 million (2011).
