2. Vision of department

  Vision is to make dept.of dentistry a center of excellence rendering maxillofacial and dental services .To be accomplished  by procuring 1) digital imaging equipments e.g..vistascan, CBCT (cone beam computerized tomography). 2) Surgical saws, peizotronic bone cutting systems. 3) Titanium  bone plating system, implant systems. 4) cadcam technology  for dental implants & maxillofacial  prosthesis. 5) hi-tech state of the art prosthetic lab with trained dental technician. 6) To start  post graduation MDS in maxillofacial  surgery. 7) To start speciality services like orthodontia, prosthodontia besides already existing maxillofacial surgery services, periodontia , conservative dentistry and oral medicine and radiology services.

  Procedures under GA 1.Fractures (maxilla, mandible) open reduction and fixation 2.Cysts and tumours of the Jaws- excision 3.Oral Submucus fibrosis release (fibrotomy) 4.Temporomandibular joint surgeries. 5.Orthognathic Surgeries Procedures under L.A and other procedures. 1.Transalveolar extractions of impacted wisdom teeth, root pieces embedded in the bone. 2. Biopsy of oral lesions 3.mucocele excision 4.dentoalveolar fractures 5.closed reduction of maxillary and mandibular fractures 6.Incision and drainage of facial space abscesses 7.root canal treatment 8.composite restorations. 9.Intraarticular and intralesional injections 10.Reduction of temperomandibular joint dislocation.
