The department of OBGY is a very active department which provides 24*7services. We have a very experienced faculty and resident workforce who are actively involved in clinical, academic and administrative work.

Our vision for the next 2 years is:

  • to have a full-fledged work force to cater to the increasing workload handled by our hospital.
  • to be at par with the other four Medical colleges in providing quality and highly specialized care
  • to have very low maternal mortalities comparable to international standards.

Our academic goals are:

  • To start post graduate MS courses in OBGY
  • To start Refreshing/ Fellowship courses
  • Develop Centre of Excellence for ART
  • To conduct research studies in our department

Our Clinical goals are:

  • To improve basic and advanced life support facility in order to treat obstetrics and gynecology emergencies.
  • To work on improving maternal mortality in our institute.
  • To develop Specialty OPDs: Well Woman Clinic, Infertility Clinic
  • To develop advanced operative laparoscopy services
  • To actively implement the family planning services and meet the targets for contraceptive uptake (PPIUCD)

  • Awareness and Training Course on Comprehensive Healthcare Response to VAWG in

    give practical guidelines for doctors in examination of VAW.
