  • Conducted Bombay orthopaedic Society Operative Fracture Fixation Course from 29/5/2016 to 2/6/2016 at HBT Medical College & Cooper Hospital Mumbai.
  • Conducted CME and was Scientific Chairman for Operative nailing course at RN Cooper Hospital, Mumbai on 3 & 4th June 2016. With First time in cooper hospital there was live surgery workshop being relayed directly from the OT to the Lecture hall, with 100 delegates attending these interesting surgeries and also asking questions.

Department Details

  • Objective/ goal of the orthopaedic department: Team work, Teaching, Treating patients, research.
  • Speciality OPD: Paediatric opd, Fracture clinic, Arthroscopy opd, Arthroplasty opd, Orthopaedic Oncology, Sports injuries opd, Spine Clinic.
  • Department Strength: 31 Doctors.
  • No Of teaching Faculty: 6 Staff members with 3 units.
  • Number of Residents: 26 (DNB & CPS).
  • Number of patients treated in OPD: 400 patients per day.
  • Operative work: 2 routine OT tables daily with average of 4-5 cases per day.
  • Emergency operative work: Trauma OT with 1 Table for Orthopaedic Trauma cases 2-3 operations per day (average).
  • Number of CME done by the orthopaedic department:
  • Workshops: Cooper Arthroplasty course, Cooper Arthroscopy course.
  • Live surgeries: Cooper Arthroplasty course, Cooper Arthroscopy course, Fracture course, Operative Nailing course.
  • PG teaching programme: Bedside clinics, OPD case presentation, Ward rounds, Journal club.
  • UG teaching programme: Consist of 4 weeks of orthopaedic posting, bedside clinics, opd and operation theater posting and teaching them principles of orthopaedic surgery.
