4. CME, Conferences:

    • Bioethics sensitization programme for faculty was organised on 9th October 2015
    • Bioethics “End of life issues” was organized on 15th March 2016
    • World Bioethics Day was celebrated on 19th Oct 2016 on the theme ‘Human Dignity & Human Rights
    • Organized a workshop on ‘Good Clinical Practices (GCP)’for the faculty of the institute and also outside the institution on 8th Sept 2017.
    • V. A workshop on Communication skill for 2nd year MBBS students as a part of Bioethics activity for the year 2018 on two separate days, on 5th& 12th February 2018.
    • A workshop was organized on “Clinician’s role in Pharmacovigilance ” for faculty as well as post graduate students of our institution as well as outside institution , on 31st of August 2018.
    • As a part of Bioethics Day activity a workshop on the theme ‘Solidarity and Cooperation’ was organized for undergraduate students on 16th Oct 2018.
    • Training for ADR monitoring for doctors and nurses.
    • Research Methodology Workshop was organized for undergraduate MBBS students on 8th March, 2019.
    • World Bioethics Day Celebration on 17th October 2019- Students Debate on topics related to respect for Cultural Diversity.fe

5. Vision of the Department

  • I. Academic :
    • To educate the undergraduate medical students with the help of interactive learning techniques.
    • To introduce symposiums, debates and creative group activities for undergraduate medical students to inculcate effective communication skills and kinship.
    • To acquaint the undergraduate medical students with the concept of research by involving them in various short research projects.
  • II. Pharmacovigilance :
    • To sensitize undergraduate & post graduate medical & nursing students, institutional faculty and physicians towards the importance of identifying, assessing and reporting adverse drug reactions.
    • To regularly assess the adverse drug reaction reports and forward the same to the National Coordination Centre, Ghaziabad.
    • To organize programs for medical healthcare professionals to instill the importance of drug safety monitoring.
  • III. Bioethics Unit :
    • To arrange various programmes for faculty, students and allied healthcare professionals regarding the bioethical principles as defined by UNESCO.
  • IV. DRUG INFORMATION DESK (In the pipeline) :
    • To establish a drug information desk, which will help provide a better understanding of the prescription to the patients.
    • To educate the patients and the community about the correct use and the perils of misuse of medicines.
  • V. Overall aim is to build socially acceptable medical graduates through leadership in education, research and to be recognized as graduating highly skilled doctors, researchers and health care professionals.
