Dr. Mehera Bhoir was awarded the Savitribai Phule Award by the SPGRC and MCGM in her capacity as the Chairperson of the PSHWW Committee on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 th March 2022.

- The department of Anatomy imparts holistic medical education to 200 undergraduate medical students in accordance with the CBME guidelines provided by the NMC including all aspects of human anatomy as well as bioethics, AETCOM, ECE, SDL and foundation course to mould competent and compassionate healthcare providers of the future. The department also encourages an innovative approach to teaching and promotes research in the field of Anatomy.

- Dr. Mehera Bhoir (Professor and Head of Department) is recognised by MUHS as a PhD guide for the subject of Anatomy. She completed the UNESCO International certificate course in Bioethics in 2019. She completed MCI ACME course in 2019.
- Dr. Rupali Kavitake and Dr. Nilofer Mulla have completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research in 2020 with distinction.
- Dr. Dwij Mehta is an IMA National President Awardee for his contribution to the medical student fraternity.
