Vision and Mission

Vision:

  • 2 units with daily OT and OPD with designated spaces
  • All ophthalmic superspeciality capability and not refer patients away for any ophthalmic diseases
  • Increase PG seats to make a robust department
  • Conduct research and publish
  • Improve training and teaching capabilities

Mission:
The mission of an Ophthalmology Department  is multifaceted encompassing patient care, education, research, and community engagement. It is  aims to provide comprehensive eye care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye conditions and diseases, while also contributing to the advancement of ophthalmology through research and training programs.

  • 9th Feb 2024 – Boa Annual Conference Focus Paper Presentation Topic- Fire Cracker Eye Injuries in Diwali Week 2023 – a Case Series.
  • 23rd Feb 2024 CME on Faricimab (Newer Anti Vegf Drugs in Ophthalmology) Presented on Topic – Procedure of Intravitreal Anti Vegf Injection.
  • 3rd August 2024 – Wet Lab Training and Hands on by Dr Nikhil Nasta Sir on Phacoemulsification .
  • 8th August 2024 Staff Research Welfare Society a Presentation by Dr Amrita Ajani ma’am on Topic – Management of Chronic Ocular Manifestations (Lid Margin Keratinisation) of Steven Johnson Syndrome with Mucous Membrane Grafting (mmg) Including Treatment Outcomes and Histopathologic Findings.
