About Library
The Central Medical Library occupies a place of pride in HBT Medical College and Dr. R. N. Cooper Municipal General Hospital and is an essential component of the institute’s quality research and education mission.
The newly established state-of-the-art Central Library is situated in the new building of HBT Medical College and enables learning and advancement of knowledge.
The library is equipped with modern technology and provides various library services as per the standards prescribed by the National Medical Council. It is a hybrid library with an excellent collection of printed and digital resources.
To ensure hassle-free transactions, the library uses an automated Library Management Software (SLIM). It caters to the information needs of medical professionals, students, and faculty members.
Spread across 3200 Sq. Mts., the library provides separate reading rooms for undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and faculty members. It also includes a stack room with a capacity of more than one lakh books, periodicals, internet access, and a digital library.
Library Timings
Monday to Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The library remains closed on Sundays and other public holidays.
The Administrator and Librarian reserve the right to modify the above rules and regulations whenever required.
Ground Floor Reading Room remains open 24 Hours.
